My artist name is Shambien and I am from Italy (altough I lived abroad in the Netherlands and in the USA for several years and then came back).
I have been making music since I studied classical piano as a kid and then taught myself to play guitar. In my teen years I have played in metal, punk and darkwave bands... until I discovered electronic music, I started attending raves in the 90's and then Goa trance parties and I was hooked and started making electronic music and beats on a computer.
I paused my passion for music (but never really abandoned it) for over 25 years as I was working a regular job in IT and raising a family and kids.
As the 'kids' are now much older (two of three are adults) I started making music again. I produce mostly EDM ranging from Melodic Techno to Ambient to Trance - in fact I find it hard to categorize and I am developing my own style. I also started DJing in my fourties.
Most of my tracks are the results of playing around, depending on my mood at the time, following the flow of inspiration and often recorded in one take without preparing everything in a DAW (having worked in IT for almost 30 years and being fed up with it, sitting at a computer turns me in too much of a mental state and stiffens my creativity).
While I do expect to get paid to perform a live or DJ set gig, I put most of my production and recordings out for free for people to vibe with. You can even download most of my tracks for free from Bandcamp.

Even if you can't come to see me play in person, I frequently post a lot of jam sessions that I play and record at home, improvisations and unreleased music on my Youtube channel and you are ncouraged to subscribe and watch/listen to me over there
I hardly ever do live streams because I live on a mountain and my internet connection is not very reliable most of the times, so I prefer to record myself and then upload (which takes forever at times)
Side note (on privacy!): I am not embeddig a YouTube video player on this website because it currently uses NO cookies at all and it tracks nothing - I don't even know how many visits I get and I am fine with that, so I don't want to add the google player which tracks you on their end. Thank me later.
